Boris Johnson & United Kingdom “Soil”

Just watched the news on France 24 this afternoon and featured Boris Johnson British Prime Minster on his short trip to Dublin. In his speech he referred to the North or Northern Ireland as being United Kingdom “Soil” as he talked about Watchtowers in the border region before 1998. Who is he codding, the north isn’t British “Soil” its Irish “Soil” and cannot be British as it physically impossible for it to be so. The Brits get amnesia about how they set up the Orange state, they forced the partition of “Ireland” against the wishes of the majority of Irish people and set up a puppet state in the 26 counties, setup with English guns & money. In the more or less hundred years since partition, the British haven’t felt the need to give it back despite all the trouble in the North.

To this end our Taoiseach says he regards Britain as “Our friend and Ally” despite the history, geography of Ireland and the British having a cheap food policy which mainly keeps Agricultural Ireland with small/tiny margins on their produce. I wouldn’t describe “Ireland” as being an friend of Britain while they hold onto the North, six counties or Northern Ireland or whatever they call it now. You can do business with the British but don’t describe them as “Our friend and Ally” , they are nothing of the sort. Maybe the Dublin establishment will take note.

Nama Questions.

Here is a response from Nama on whether it is part of the National Debt (its not but still borrowed money that the taxpayer has to pay back) and how much have they got back of the €74 billion they borrowed to bail out the banks- they wouldn’t say but gave a link to a report on Nama  which is here https://www.nama.ie/uploads/documents/2019-07-17-Second-NAMA-Section-227-Report.pdf.

It was confusing and didn’t answer the question, a more technical reader might understand it but I couldn’t make head nor tails of it.

Dear Gerard,

Thank you for contacting the National Asset Management Agency.

To answer your query, NAMA does not comprise part of the national debt. In fact, NAMA expects to return a surplus to the Exchequer in the region of €4 billion when it completes its work.

For further information on NAMA’s establishment and progress, you may wish to view a recent report undertaken by the Minister for Finance, available here.

Kind regards,

Mary

On Newstalk’s Ciara Kelly on a United Ireland

Having a read of the newspapers brought me to this a review of a Ciara Kelly a “Newstalk” Dj who doesn’t approve of a United Ireland and she discussed this on her radio show during the week. Here’s a link to the Irish times article on the subject https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/tv-radio-web/ciara-kelly-i-can-see-many-reasons-not-to-vote-for-a-united-ireland-1.3980637 and for good measure here the same Ciara Kelly in the independent-t https://www.independent.ie/opinion/comment/dr-ciara-kelly-we-need-to-think-hard-about-the-realities-of-a-united-ireland-38392984.html.

treason

I am unable to find the podcast for her show on Newstalk.ie someone else out there maybe might be able to help.

What to say about this Ciara Kelly and her views for starters I don’t accept this woman’s bona fides. She sounds more like a agent of influence for someone like MI5 whose agenda she seems to push. Who else in the Europe/World doesn’t want to see a United Ireland Mi5 is a very likely candidate and the Tory establishment in England is another. Stop agreeing with English Tory’s and stand for a free United Ireland. There certainly is a lot of puppets in Ireland (32 counties) who spout for “Mother England” and her interests. Someone should speak up for Ireland and her interests and not have to listen to a puppet who doesn’t give any good reason why Ireland shouldn’t be reunited. I hate the way this is presented to the public as the “in view” and has callers who only agree with her on. Its far from a true situation.

Books I have read: The Nemesis file the true story of an SAS execution squad.

21123377

Here’s a book that I read on my kindle lately and it is slightly controversial. The author says he joined the “SAS” from the regular British army and was dispatched to the North of Ireland when the troubles first started in the late 60’s and early 70’s particularly 1971 and 1972 . He details the “SAS” and regular British army picking up IRA men who were clandestinely attempting to cross the border at that time. The book says that while most of those caught were handed over to the RUC some were executed without trial by the author’s “SAS” unit and buried secretly in trenches dug in isolated Woodland. The victims of this “SAS” unit were usually dispatched by bullet to the back of the head and their bodies thrown into a trench to be buried by someone else. The book makes for grisly reading but the author details living in port cabins on British army bases and even at the back of “Long Kesh” prison. They wore no uniforms and dressed entirely in civilian clothes, they drank rather alot and went to British army disco’s to pick up women.

They spent alot of time idle reading newspapers, watching tv and keeping fit. The author claims the killings affected the “SAS” men greatly and began to resent the orders coming from the British army HQ in Lisburn. He also admits to the British forces stiring up sectarianism in the North by the random killing of catholics in Belfast. Eventually the “SAS” men got sick of the killing and were returned home, the author left the British army at this time. The book was published in 1995 and it details the killing of over forty IRA men. The author was subsequently arrested by the RUC  who turned up at his home in England at 5.45 am and flown to Belfast . The author later denied his book was true and a work of fiction by himself.

The RUC closed their investigation into the book and the author was released. The British army dismissed the claims made in the book as the actions of a “Walter Mitty” character who had served only one tour of the North. One wonders what the truth is here, why would anyone write such a book detailing the execution without trial of IRA suspects. The author is more or less admitting to Murder at the behest of British army HQ or politicians in London and certainly would have to recant this set of events to stay alive.

From Amazon

Paul Bruce was a tough, idealistic young trooper in the SAS when he was dispatched to Northern Ireland. His squad’s top-secret mission, code sign “Nemesis” – to execute unarmed IRA suspects in cold blood. Bruce and his squad shot down one terrified victim after another, leaving their bodies buried in unmarked woodland graves. Slowly they grew bitter at the sordidness of their assignment, yet worse was to follow with new orders from British military leaders, to forment sectarian violence by shooting down young men on the streets of Roman Catholic areas.

From Goodreads

‘The Nemesis File’ was originally published as a fact-based memoir in 1995. During a police investigation (concluded in 1996), however, the author admitted that his claims were untrue. The investigation proved that the book was fraudulent, that the purported SAS “execution squads” did not exist, and that the book is not a memoir but a “work of fiction.”

Books I have Read- “Unsung Hero” by Kevin Fulton

Unsung Hero: How I Saved Dozens of Lives as a Secret Agent ...

Britain’s Dirty War

Now here’s a book I have just finished reading. It tells the story of a Catholic Newry man who uses the pseudonym Kevin Fulton who signed up as a British soldier and was quickly picked up by British Military intelligence as a “spy” on the Provisional I.R.A and later the R.I.R.A. To this effect he was officially “demobbed” from the British army (given a dishonourable discharge) but paid a weekly wage in secret.  He (Fulton) was assured by British Military intelligence that he would be pulled out if he got into any trouble, relocated to a new home and a lump sum for his resettlement. These assurances would prove to be hollow when the time came for him to flee the North of Ireland.

According to his book it took him all of seven years to join the P.I.R.A as they where not very trusting of an ex British soldier and wisely so but his handlers in British Military intelligence / Force Research Unit (FRU) were prepared to wait years to insert their “mole” into the IRA. Fulton hung around republicans/ republican bars to ingrate himself with the local IRA. Initially he started off by carrying “things” in his ice cream van over the border. (Never knew that a ice cream round was so profitable ) carrying messages and so on. Whilst all the time meeting with his FRU handlers  and reporting on all that happened. Fulton eventually got into the bomb making section of the IRA and ground down fertiliser to make into bombs, he claims that none of the bombs he made killed anyone but is reticent on his exact involvement for legal reasons obviously. However a opening section in his book says he took part in the killing of British soldiers, police informants and members of the RUC (the then Police force ) all to keep his cover. He (Fulton) became increasing aware that the FRU promises of relocation were hollow and he would have to provide some major intelligence or some big victory for the FRU to obtain it.

Fulton was eventually caught out when he supplied a car and a cloned mobile phone for a Belfast IRA unit who where intercepted by the RUC. All the fingers pointed to Fulton being a “mole” even the provos had figured it out. Fulton claims that his interrogator “Michael” was a bigger tout than him and he had basically being “given up” to protect a bigger informer. After some questioning by the IRA Fulton fled the North and went to England. He found whilst in London that’s his hotline number to the FRU no longer worked and got a Forklift company instead. They the (FRU) were prepared to have Fulton killed rather than pay out on resettlement for their agent.  Fulton also claims to have “tipped” off the RUC about the Omagh bombing in 1998 at least 48 hours in advance of it. He is suing the British government for what he believes he is entitled to in a civil suit.

Sinn Féin’s Dismal Showing….

sinnfein.ie

Above is a screenshot of the Sinn Féin website which is @ sinnfein.ie .They have taken a drubbing at the local and European elections, losing 2 MEPs and host of councilors (81 now-out of previous 159) in the local elections. So what has gone wrong with Sinn Féin ??

They seem to have lost touch with their own voters or they have become disillusioned with Sinn féin. Don’t think Sinn féin’s stance on the Abortion referendum did them any good and was a “unnatural” position for Sinn féin to be in. Maybe toning down the women’s lib abit might help it doesn’t seem to a vote winner some how.

The main problem seems to be them failing to get their message across to voters or what Policies they stand (United Ireland obvious )for to voters. A quick perusal on the internet and this political party stands for Abortion, All Ireland Soccer teams and allowing the diaspora to vote in referendums (including a Border Poll) and Presidential elections. Two tier health systems which only serve the rich hardly get a mention, affordable housing for our young people another issue which needs to be dealt with, they are many others which might be a vote puller for them. You can see their polices at https://www.sinnfein.ie/policies

Their side of the fence is increasing crowded also with the independents sharing a lot of their polices and their points of view. So increasing competition is a fact of life. One thing that might help is if they stopped cozzing up to Fianna fail and Fine gael and put the booth into them instead … Fianna fail left the “state” almost bankrupt and largely squandered the boom, Fine gael on the other hand gives a $350 million maternity hospital to the nuns as “sole owners” and pays a whopping €1.7 plus billion for a children’s hospital that originally was to cost €450 million. These “cost overruns” show that you wouldn’t hire Fine gael to build your house at any time. Both establishment parties stand for two tier health systems, the rich paying the least and in a international downturn will encourage you to move somewhere else and that is just for starters. So there is a lot of work for Sinn fein to do if they want to avoid their usual manoeuvre of “one step forward followed by two steps back“. I actually have a lot of issues with this particular party but see a bigger picture for now anyway.

How Time has moved on….

Sinn Féin took a drubbing in the European and Local elections at the weekend but the news isn’t all bad. Here is Eileen Paisley wife of loyalist Dup firebrand Ian Paisley now thinks that the Partition of Ireland was a “wrong division”  and she would accept a United Ireland if there was freedom of religion . We should surely manage that ! Maybe a referendum on a United Ireland might go our way in the next five or ten years.

Ireland’s partition perhaps ‘a wrong division’, says Eileen Paisley

United Ireland acceptable to Eileen Paisley – if there is freedom of religion

On Nama and RTE “Newspeak” Reporting.

Was watching RTE (this crowd owe me millions in unpaid damages) news at six o’ clock this evening and saw a piece about Nama repaying the “state” some €2 billions euros this year and possibly another €2 billion next year before its wound up likely next year also.

This was reported as positive news, while any repayment of funds is welcome the RTE news reporter didn’t give a overview of how much has been gotten back by Nama. Nama took over € 74 billion in defunct loans from the five major banks, its borrowed money which was kept off the books and it is all owed by the taxpayer it is private debt made public.

One has doubts whether it will stop there either as the national debt or state debt stands at over €211 billion that’s €45,000 for every man, woman and child in the “state”. This debt was recklessly brought on by a Fianna Fail government who despite the “boom” left the country in a far worse state than they got it in 1997. We owe a lot more- €40 billion in late 90’s to over €211 billion in 2019 and haven’t got that much to show for it.

Don’t think Nama is on the books either here. The running of Nama doesn’t inspire confidence as they sold their northern loan book for €1.5 billions when it was worth over € 5 billion. Someone made a “killing” there, i’m sure that’s not the end of it either.

So any one out there know what the “sums” are on Nama ??

Big loss, break even or a gain ?

Now for the news reporting, the journalist who was reporting the item on Nama presented it as “good news” without the overview. He presented it “1984” style as in the film “1984” the chocolate ration is cut from 30grams to 25 grams but they report it as “chocolate ration up to 25 grams” hurray ! The journalist’s  report was very similar to “1984” newspeak. That’s my observation anyway.
