Moongazing Apollo 11 Moonlanding Fifty years .

Making the news is the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing by the USA in July 1969. There has been no visits to the moon since 1972 and the  last of the Apollo missions,  But nowadays there is a talk of going back to the moon to stay this time and possibly onwards to Mars. Its likely to be a expensive exercise with only countries like the USA being able to foot the bill, perhaps a international approach this time might work. The “Space Race” lead to the development of many industries like computers, satellite communications and so on. So there was a dividend to the “Space race” after all. One wonders if they will find a place for us all out in space or we just have to make our cloth fit our measure here on Earth. Mankind is certainly at colossuses numbers  these days and some off world migration may ease the pressure on Mother Earth. Though has to say something like that sounds many years away. We wait so see if the space programs brings benefit this time to mankind rather though expensive knowledge which a lot of the programs account for.  The moon-landing was a remarkable feat for its time but the pace of exploration was not maintained and robots largely did the exploration, What will one have to say in another fifty years time or what will we have seen ? One Wonders

Renewing the TV Licence.

tvlicence.ie

One evening there last week, I decided to renew my tv licence which was up since the 31st May. So I decided to look up the tv licence website and lo and behold I was treated to what the new family In Ireland looks like. There seems to be no getting away from this stuff like this, all the advertisements which abound and all apparently made by women as they are never the other way around. Seemingly the “women” have taken up with somebody else and are rubbing our noses in it. Do the “ladies” have some other explanation for this ?

I was tempted to click on the “back button” and not pay the tv licence, let them send me the usual legal notices and so on, but like a sucker I actually paid it. (Don’t know why I did) I guess its a case of groan and sigh and be oblivious to the slight we as White Irish males are being given all the time apparently.  One wonders why we have to put with this as there is little joy in paying for everything and doing all the hard slog. Maybe some hard slog for the women would change their “attitudes” and make them more appreciative for what they’ve got and not throwing it all way.

I find advertisements like this demeaning maybe I am alone in thinking so.

More on the National Children’s Hospital.

No real news on this front, with the health minster Simon Harris surviving a vote of No Confidence thanks to Michael Martin and his merry men in Fianna Fail. Strange that Fianna fail said they didn’t have any confidence in Owen Harris yet because of Brexit they say he must remain untouched. It also looks like we will not be getting any money back as they have ruled out retendering the project so they doesn’t like there will be any way of scraping back “cost over-runs” that newspeak for “kiss the money goodbye suckers “.

Though so form of cover up will be attempted some accountancy firm will be given the task of drawing up a report which will be illegible and no-one will be able to understand it. It will be all quiet then and so much for their explanations. Some one will be laughing all the way to the bank on this one that’s for sure.

Children’s hospital to proceed despite ‘significant failings’

Gimmick

Well here is a review of a product which I don’t normally do. There is always a first time I suppose. This “device” is supposed to clean your ears better than a cotton bud with its “Auger” shaped tip but unless you got ears that could grow vegetables you are better to give it a miss. I actually bought the product and it arrived today nearly eight weeks after I purchased it online. What arrived was worth €0.50 I say very basic packaging, that’s my fifty cents worth anyway. It didn’t get out any ear wax after much trying and felt like they had seen you coming with this one. All spin basically.

Meath man & a Prostitute.

www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/meath-man-is-first-to-be-convicted-of-paying-for-sex-1.3765853
Irishtimes.com

Just having a look at the Irish times website and one story caught my eye – a sixty five year old man from Meath was found on the job with a prostitute in a brothel in west Dublin. Gardaí arrested the man in question and was subsequently fined €200 at a court in Dublin. The prostitute remained nameless under legislation passed in 2017 the so called “Nordic model”.

This legislation criminalise the “buying” of sex from prostitutes while the prostitute gets off scot free. So what is it ? I thought sex was a act between consenting adults with both parties being responsible. Seemingly now it is just the man who is to blame. The legislation seems to be enacted to please man hating feminists who seek to control others and want to reduce men to less than equal human beings while making them pay for it all.

They is a great deal of hypocrisy about Sex in this country, quite a lot of it from feminists, maybe they would do something constructive and shut up.

70th Anniversary of the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

Monday 10th December was the anniversary of the UN Declaration of Human Rights which was declared in December 1948. They are good principles to live by but its a shame that nearly all governments just pay lip service to them. Don’t think the world as such has progressed a lot since 1948. Here’s two short videos to explain them to you. See whether you believe your country measures up.
